Work Schedule(s)

We work mostly with full-timers.

Why?

We’ve noticed that employees grow faster if they focus only on one thing (there’s even a famous book on this topic, called The One Thing -> recommended).

This will help you:

  • Feel confident in your job.
  • Learn the ropes 10 times faster.
  • Become a top 1% freelancer & get paid what you deserve!

Can I decide my own work schedule (days & hours)?

No.

Everyone works with set shifts on the days we agreed.

Why?

  • We have deadlines to follow.
  • For Customer Support roles: We need coverage during specific times.
  • We strive to give daily feedback (despite being in a different timezone.)

  1. Preferred email address to invite you to Hubstaff & Notion.
  2. Phone number (+country code) to add you on WhatsApp.
#1: Hubstaff (after you get our invite):
  1. Download the desktop app (available for Windows & Apple).
Don’t use the mobile app or Chrome extension.
  2. Work with this handy tool from your official start date.
  3. Turn it on and off as soon as you start and finish your shift (see below):
  • Daytime shift: Monday – Friday – 7.5 h. daily from 8 AM – 5 PM PH time.
  • Nighttime shift: Monday – Friday – 7.5 h. daily from 10 PM – 7 AM PH time.
  • Nighttime shift: Saturday – Sunday – 7.5 h. daily from 10 PM – 7 AM PH time.

Important: The screenshot & productivity tracking features must be enabled.

Note: The above shifts consist of 9 hours (7.5 hours of active work plus 1.5-hour daily break time excluded: 2 small breaks of 15 minutes each, plus a 1-hour lunch break). For your shift to be recorded correctly, you must put yourself on a break when taking one.

#2: Notion

In your Notion board, you’ll see your daily and weekly tasks arranged in columns.

#3: WhatsApp

During your workday, you’ll have some questions.

How to ask questions

Goal: Learn to be aware & work independently & efficiently as fast as possible.

Step #1: Bookmark all the tools mentioned in Notion for easy access.

Step #2: When starting to work, read all the materials available in Notion & note down any questions.

Step #3: Search with Ctrl + F & keywords to find the info you need.

Step #4: ONLY ask questions in your team’s WhatsApp group if you can’t find the answers in Notion (or if something is unclear based on the given explanation).

It’s good to ask questions for:

  • Visibility.
  • Getting support from peers.
  • Answering a potential question someone else had but hasn’t asked until now.
  • Pointing out potential improvement opportunities in our workflow and systems so we can fix them.

Step #5: Once you receive an answer, copy-paste your question and answer into your EOD (Daily Report) Google doc so you can recheck it if you forget.

Share the questions you had & what you’ve learned each day under the “#3: What did you learn today?” section in your daily report based on the answers you’ve been given.

Just copy-paste this template into your Google doc & fill it in:

Daily Report XX-XX-2022 (month-date-year

1: What did you do today?

2: What problems did you run into?

3: What did you learn today?

4: What can we do to help you?

Note: Have any new questions based on our feedback? Include them in the next daily report.
