Angel (writer)

Why did you decide to apply and work with us?

At first, it was a simple job application with a marvelous posting – excellent benefits, precise requirements, and inviting tasks. When I finally received an email confirming that they would take my application to the next level, I even felt greater about it. When I got offered the job, I was assured that the company had my best interest at heart. That’s all that I needed to know that this will be a great working experience for me.

Did the job meet or exceed your expectations (and in what way)?

The job exceeded my expectations. One great thing about it is how well the company handles and care about their employees. Furthermore, the job gives me the chance to learn every day.

What are the most valuable things you’ve learned since you started?

The first valuable thing I learned in this job is how a great handler could really impact your performance. Next is how something great could turn into something even better – I’m talking about our articles that we carefully craft and analyze to become better for the readers.

How did this job help you develop your skills?

Every article that we write is equal to a learning experience. I am able to develop my writing skills with the guidance of our transparent editors. By taking notes of their advice, I’m guided on how to proceed with the following articles. I’m also beginning to understand basic SEO as I learn it along the way – because it’s the justification for why we write certain things in a particular way.

How would you describe the work environment?

I would describe the work environment in three words: productive, efficient, and appreciative. For the first two words, I say so as we follow a simple yet effective and efficient process when writing and editing. Then, we also use emails, which minimizes distractions. For the last word, the job is really appreciative about what the writers provide – regardless if it needs further editing, learning is always advocated and practiced.

What do you like best about this job?

For this one, I’ll answer with the words of Forrest Gump: it’s like a box of chocolates – you never know what you’re gonna get. Every day is an opportunity to write about a new topic. That fact stops my workday from seeming dull and repetitive – this I value highly.

What would you improve and why?

If I were to suggest one improvement it will be more frequent workplace interactions. Communicating through email is more than alright for me, it prevents random workplace banters. That’s why monthly (or whenever possible) online meetings would be a cool place to start. It’s exciting to know that such could bring the employees together despite the distance.

Is there anything you miss and if so, what is it?

There’s nothing that I could think of as an answer to this question – my apologies.

Which is your favorite part of the work process?

It’s a tie between making the article outlines and creating daily reports. The first one is something I like because there, I begin to see the article’s structure. Then, for the daily reports, I am really just fond of creating such. Plus, being able to describe how the workday’s been is something to look forward to. It also helps me reach out if I ever encounter any issues or need further guidance with something.

What do you think are the most important abilities for this job?

It would be communication, both in reaching out to our superiors and talking to our readers. Since this job is remote, discussions could be limited. That’s why transparent communication is thoroughly practiced and promoted. Moreover, as a writer, you’d have to be able to empathize, deliver, and entertain your readers within a general thought.

If you ever start getting bored, what new challenge would you be up for?

If ever that happens, creating pictures related to the article would be a new entertaining challenge. Doing so would also help the readers capture the thought of the writers as we communicate with them through pictures, too.
