Angelica (VA)

Why did you decide to apply and work with us?

Honestly, I was just looking for a VA position, and I had no idea about the nature of the company. Luckily, the responsibilities mentioned in the job description fit my past work experiences and skills.

Did the job meet or exceed your expectations (and in what way)?

I never thought I’d be this satisfied in my current job. Although my previous roles were almost the same, the only difference is how my employers treated their employees. On top of the competitive salary and the room for growth, I was really amazed at how hands-on, patient, approachable, and understanding you are. šŸ™‚

What are the most valuable things you’ve learned since you started?

It’s only been a month and a few days since I started working with you so I can’t say much yet. But so far, I’m glad I got the chance to dive deeper into the backend of publishing articles in WordPress, like working with the SEO title, meta descriptions, alt texts of images, etc. Plus dissecting the formatting and content of the articles.

How did this job help you develop your skills?

I get to learn new things every time I start my shift. My problem-solving skills are also put to test, aside from time management and my ā€œaestheticā€ prowess.

How would you describe the work environment?

It’s really great! Not only isn’t toxic, but the work environment also allows me to grow and improve my mistakes. I really appreciate how you would record videos about this and that.Ā

What do you like best about this job?

Is ā€˜everything’ accepted? Not kidding, but that really is my answer. Currently, I’m overwhelmed with the tasks because of some sudden changes, but for sure I’ll get used to it and I’ll be able to adjust and adapt.

What would you improve and why?

I guess I see some room for improvement on the assignment of articles since there were already some cases when I had assigned the same articles to two writers.

Is there anything you miss and if so, what is it?

I’m not actually a morning person, so I kinda miss not waking up at 9 to 10 AM… but it’s okay. If I started early, I’ll finish early hehe.

Which is your favorite part of the work process?

Although time-consuming, I enjoy crafting images since it’s kind of something I’m good at (I think). But if I were to recap my responsibilities as a VA here, I love everything that I’m doing for the team. šŸ™‚

What do you think are the most important abilities for this job?

Consistency and time management? It’s quite a pressure (recently) when I have to finish this number of articles with images, but seeing them being ā€œperfectā€, ā€œfixedā€, and ā€œpublishedā€ makes me even happier because it means I’m getting used to the new tasks given.

If you ever start getting bored, what new challenge would you be up for?

I can’t say I’ll get bored when I’m doing my tasks because there’s no room for that in crafting images and working on the written articles. Being bored is not really an excuse if you’re enjoying what you’re doing. If ever I get sleepy or tired, I’ll just plug in my earphones then open Spotify or Netflix… then multitask. šŸ™‚
