Venice (Designer)

Why did you decide to apply and work with us?

I applied because the role matched my passion for creative design, and I saw it as an opportunity to grow while contributing visually meaningful work. The projects you handle were aligned with what I enjoy doing, so it felt like a great fit for my skills and career goals.

Did the job meet or exceed your expectations (and in what way)?

Yes, it did. I initially expected to focus mainly on designing graphics, but I ended up working on a wide range of projects such as eBook layouts, product mockups, ads, website visuals, and even short video edits. That variety gave me more creative exposure and learning than I anticipated.

What are the most valuable things you’ve learned since you started?

I learned how to adapt my design style depending on the platform and purpose, whether I was working on eBooks, social media visuals, or product assets. I also learned how to handle revisions, meet deadlines effectively, and make sure that my designs communicated the message clearly.

How did this job help you develop your skills?

This job significantly helped me grow both technically and creatively. Working on eBooks taught me how to build layouts and templates from scratch, while creating ads and mockups strengthened my visual storytelling and marketing mindset. Editing short videos for ads also helped me become more versatile as a designer.

How would you describe the work environment?

The work environment was supportive, collaborative, and open to ideas. Communication was respectful and constructive, which made sharing and refining concepts easier.

What do you like best about this job?

What I liked most was the opportunity to create things from scratch, whether I was designing eBook templates, developing ads, or preparing visuals for the website. It was fulfilling to see my work actually being used and having an impact.

What would you improve and why?

I think one area I would improve is exploring and learning more design tools beyond Canva and CapCut. While I’m comfortable and efficient with these platforms, I know expanding my skill set would help me create more diverse and refined outputs. This would allow me to grow further as a designer and offer even more value in future projects.

Is there anything you miss and if so, what is it?

I miss working on various creative projects and seeing them brought to life. I also miss the teamwork, collaboration, and the sense of achievement that comes when a design is finalized and launched.

Which is your favorite part of the work process?

My favorite part is turning ideas into polished visuals. I enjoyed starting from a blank page, experimenting with layouts, refining details, and watching everything come together in the final output. I particularly enjoyed working on eBooks and ad visuals because they gave me a balance of structure and creativity.

What do you think are the most important abilities for this job?

The most important abilities for this job include creativity, attention to detail, adaptability, and openness to learning. Time management and communication skills are also essential, especially when handling different design tasks and revisions.

If you ever start getting bored, what new challenge would you be up for?

If I ever start getting bored, I would be excited to explore motion graphics, UI/UX design, or more advanced branding projects. Learning new tools, techniques, and creative approaches is something I always look forward to when I feel ready for a new challenge.
